School Meals

School meals are available from the cafeteria at a cost of £2.10 per day and are paid for at the time of purchase. School meals are free to children in primary 1-4. There is a daily choice of hot meals with vegetables and hot snacks. Desserts include fresh fruit and yoghurt. Drinking water and milk are available.
Where special diets are recommended by a doctor, a note of these should be given to the school so that  arrangements can be made. Children of parents/carers receiving Income Support, Job Seekers’ Allowance, Working Tax Credit (Child Tax Credit only ) and income related Employment and Support Allowance are entitled to a free midday meal. Information and application forms for free school meals may be obtained from schools and from Grants Section at Education Services Headquarters.
It is in the interest of schools and parents/guardians to maximise the numbers of pupils entitled to free school meals as those schools with a high level of pupils registered for free school meals attract additional funding benefits for the school overall.   All parents/carers eligible for free school meals for their children are therefore encouraged to register their entitlement thus assisting the school in gaining additional support. Application forms can be obtained from the Grants Section at Education Services HQ.
*As a Green Flag school, looking after our environment is of paramount importance and parents/guaradians are asked to remind their children of the importance of binning their litter both in the canteen and school grounds. Thank you
Breakfast is available daily between 8.00am. and 8.55am. at a cost of £2.00 for your first child and £1.00 per day for subsequent children. Breakfast  is free to pupils receiving free meals.
