School Safety

 Road Safety - Parents' Vehicles

Parents are reminded of the need for care in the Parish/school carpark and in the streets surrounding the school to avoid the dangers of accident to pupils.

Pupils Pick-Up Arrangements

Young children should be picked up by an adult at the end of the school day. Parents/Guardians should make it known to the class teachers if there is a change to arrangements. Any person picking up a child should be over the age of 16.

Physical Education - Children's Jewellery

Parents are reminded of the need for pupils to have all jewellery removed at home on the mornings before Physical Education lessons.

Hooped or studded earrings should not be worn at any time because of the possibility of accident in the gym or playground.

Thank you for your continued support and co-operation.

Health & Safety of Children

In order to enhance the safe transfer of pupils in the morning and at the end of the day we are employing a new system for entering or leaving the playground in order that pupils do not cross the car park.  Please follow the following directions:

·         Children who turn right at the top of the lane on the way home will use the  pedestrian lane to exit.

·         Children who are being picked up by car will wait in yard until they are collected by an adult who will walk them to the car.

·         All other children will leave by the small gate, turn left, go behind Christ the King Church and leave by the gate next to the Church Hall onto Carmunnock Road.  Children should then turn right and cross the road at the crossing.
